Painted by local Greenville artist, Vladimir Demidovich, this copy of his Main Street at Night painting on a heather dusty blue T-shirt commemorates Greenville in every one of its oil-painted strokes. Gracing the cover of the 2019 Official Visitor's Guide of Greenville, SC, the image captures the vibrant energy of downtown Greenville and incorporates a number of landmarks distinct to the city's landscape.
Vladimir Demidovich was born in Kyrgyzstan—then part of the Soviet Union—in 1951. He immigrated to the U.S. in 2004, settling in Greenville in 2007. Vladimir has a degree in fine art and was part of the prestigious Art Union of Kyrgyzstan. We think you'll agree, his artwork speaks volumes about the beauty of our town—and his.
On top of the artwork are the words "yeah, that" (in faded white and yellow, respectively) and below it, "greenville, sc" in white.
