Painted by local (and self-taught) Greenville artist, Aaron Ingle, this copy of his Heart of My City painting on an ice (light) blue T-shirt commemorates the vibrancy of Greenville in every one of its inspired, colorful strokes. Gracing the cover of the 2018 Official Visitor's Guide of Greenville, SC, the image captures the heartbeat of the city on canvas—and was crafted using only a palette knife.
Aaron and his family made the decision to call Greenville home back in 2014. However, he couldn't have known how much this place would capture his heart—and then spark his creativity. Aaron, a quiet, North Carolina native and part-time barber noted, "I just let myself go and tried to express what I see in my mind when I think of Greenville. The downtown, the excitement and growth, the vibrant energy—those were the things that found their way onto the canvas."
